The Gefen EXT-UHDV-HBTLS-TX transmitter combines the functions of a scaler, switcher, and transmitter for HDMI and VGA signals with auto-switching. It supports resolutions up to 4K Ultra HD (4096×2160/30 with YUV 4:4:4) and 4K @ 60 Hz (3840×2160/60 with YUV 4:2:0), as well as VGA with audio at 1920×1200/60. Transmission is via CAT5e twisted pair cable using HDBaseT technology, with a distance of up to 40 m for 4K and 70 m for 1080p. The device supports HDCP 1.4, EDID, CEC, 3DTV, RS-232 control functions, bidirectional IR, and PoH (Power over HDBaseT). VGA scaling is configurable. Control and updates are performed via the mini-USB port and Gefen Syner-G software.
