The Gefen EXT-DP-CP-2FO kit is designed for transmitting DisplayPort 1.1a signals over multimode fiber optic cable with LC connectors over distances up to 300 meters (OM2/OM3). It supports resolutions up to 2560×1600 (WQXGA) and 1080p at 120 Hz with a pass-through bandwidth of 10.8 Gbps (2.7 Gbps per lane). The device supports HDCP and DPCP, transmits the I²C data line over fiber, and is compatible with Dual Mode DisplayPort (DP++). The housings are compact aluminum, reflecting protection against electromagnetic interference.
