RS-232 and IR Audio Signal Transmitter to Ethernet for Audio over IP Systems |
Gefen EXT-ADA-LAN-TX Audio, RS-232, and IR to Ethernet Transmitter transmits digital and analog audio signals (S/PDIF, TOSLINK, RCA, miniJack), as well as bidirectional RS-232 control signals and infrared (IR) control signals over 1000BaseT IP networks via Category 5e or 6 cable. The device supports PoE (802.3af) power, management via built-in web interface, Telnet, and UDP. A virtual matrix of up to 65,000 devices can be organized with control via the EXT-CU-LAN controller. The chassis occupies half a rack unit width, features mounting brackets and a compact design. Application areas include conference rooms, lecture halls, museums, airports, and shopping centers.
The device uses a 1000BaseT (Gigabit Ethernet) network connection.
The device is equipped with LED indicators for power and link status.
Maximum power consumption: 3 W. Supports PoE (Power over Ethernet) per 802.3af standard or power from an external 5 V DC power adapter.
Management is supported via built-in web interface, Telnet, and UDP. It also features Program and Program Select buttons for selecting programs/channels.
