Description
The Gefen EXT-RS232 RS-232 Extender is a kit consisting of a transmitter and a receiver, which allows extending a control line using the RS-232 interface up to 300 meters when using a single twisted pair cable (CAT5e). The transmitter connects to the RS-232 port of a computer or command source, the receiver connects to the remote device. Both units are connected via RJ45 connectors. The transmitter is powered by an external 5 V source.
