The warranty period is the period during which the consumer, upon discovering any defects or flaws in the purchased product, may present claims to the seller regarding the quality of the product (such as return, replacement, free elimination of the defect, price reduction, etc.), and the seller is obliged to satisfy the consumer’s lawful claims (paragraph 6 of Article 5 of the Consumer Protection Law).

When does the warranty begin?
If the contract between the seller and the consumer does not establish special terms for the start of the warranty period — from the moment the product is handed over to the consumer.
If the day of purchase of the product is unknown — from the moment the product is manufactured. For seasonal products — from the start of the corresponding season, and if the product was purchased during the season — from the moment of handover (delivery — in the case of remote purchase) to the consumer (read more about this below).
If the day of sale and the day of delivery of the product do not coincide — from the moment of delivery of the product.
If it is impossible to establish the date of delivery, installation, assembly, or connection of the product — from the moment the purchase and sale agreement is concluded (the day of purchase).
If special installation (connection, assembly) of the product is necessary, or if there are defects in the product — the warranty period is suspended until the seller eliminates the specific circumstances.
The warranty period for a technically complex product, as well as for a product purchased at a sale, is calculated according to the general rules. When ordering a product from an online store, the warranty begins from the day of delivery.

Warranty service includes:
elimination of product defects in certified service centers;
exchange for an identical product without additional payment;
exchange for a similar product with additional payment;
return of the product and transfer of funds to the buyer’s account.

Rules for exchange and return of goods

The procedure for returning goods is regulated by Article 26.1 of the Federal Law “On Consumer Protection”.

Exchange and return of products of proper quality

The seller guarantees that the buyer may refuse a product of proper quality within 14 days from the moment of purchase, if:
the product has not been put into use and has a marketable appearance, is in its packaging with all tags, and there are documents for the purchase of the product;
the product is not included in the list of products of proper quality that are not subject to return or exchange.

The buyer has the right to exchange a product of proper quality for another commercial offer of this product or another product identical in value, or for another product with an additional payment or refund of the price difference.

Exchange and return of products of improper quality

If the buyer discovers defects in the product after its purchase, he may demand a replacement from the seller. The replacement must be carried out within 7 days from the date the claim is made. If an expert examination is ordered to determine the product’s compliance with specified standards, the exchange must be carried out within 20 days.

Technically complex products of improper quality are exchanged for products of the same brand or for a similar product of a different brand with a recalculation of the cost. The return is made by canceling the purchase and sale agreement and refunding the amount equal to the product’s cost.

Refund of funds

The refund period depends on the type of payment originally chosen by the buyer.
For cash payments, the refund is made at the cash desk no later than 10 days after the buyer submits a refund request.
The crediting of the product’s cost to the client’s card, if non-cash payment was used, occurs immediately after receiving the buyer’s request.
When using electronic payment systems, the refund is made to the electronic account within 10 calendar days.
